I am lookin for a sbc head gasket roughly .065-.070 in thickness in compression. and it has to hold up to atleast 14:1 or so.?? Any ideas?? just gimme a direction please.. thanx. 44H m.harris

in the summit book them have some gaskets called "flatout" they are copper and can be up to .064 thick. sce also makes .062 thick gaskets.

Because the piston is out of the cylinder .031" and the stroke is 3.562" before ya ask that question. But as a note to others, you can go to www.cometic.com and they have like 11 diferent thicknesses in a multi-layer stainless steel that will live in any compression and doesn't need re-torqued as there is no crush happening. As an FYI for anyone else. they are like 75 bucks a set give or take.. M.Harris 44H

I run the copper head gaskets, they are reusable and have never failed me. spray them with copper coat well on both sides and let it tack up for 10 minutes or so.
summit or competition products also has a .069 special order I think.
