in my dream world it'd be a 380 or so (400 bore 3.5 stroke) on alky with sb2.2 heads and probably a 850 carb.

my DLM was 400ci with brodix 18* heads, 14.8-1 compression and made 780hp with a 850cfm C&S aerosol gas carb.

We ran a 331 with a 750HP carb that was set up and flowed about 900CFM. It was a Honda journal 3.25 stroke crank, 6.125 rod H-beam rods and 13:1 Wiesco pistons, Roller cam-lifer-rocker set up, Brodix aluminum heads. We ran the nationals last year at East Bay here in Florida against the 400+SB2 motors and made the show 2 nights. The car was FAST and really easy to drive especially when the track got slick. It was hard not to run into people in the heat race when it got REALLY slick one night.

Forgot! The car was better on Alcky than gas though. Turned it around 7200

We are running a 410/18 degree aluminum motor and a 347/23 degree steel motor this year. Ideally I would have a 380/sb2 motor. Running a Marx gas carb and a C&S Vac sec carb.

We just built a 358 SUPR spec motor for our latemodel. Probably go with a 750 Raptor carb.

Just aquired an AMC 327. What options do I have. Does it have a place in the winners circle? What are the pro's and con's of this motor?

The most common dirt late model engine that we are building at this time are 388ci(3.625" stroke) - 415ci. We still build some smaller engines for guy's who only race at small tracks that are known to be very dry-slick. Most people who travel prefer the 388ci-415ci engine. We personally use Braswell and Willy's carbs, based on a 750 body that flow around 950-1000cfm for gas engines. For our alky engines we use Braswell, Willy's, and CFS carbs, that are around the same flow rating as the gas carbs.
