Getting ready to put in a bulk order for air / oil filters and oil.

What is the difference between the 1060 and 1061 Racing filter? I read somewhere about a check valve in the 1060. I realize both are "racing" filters, but which one would be ideal for a oval, dirt Mod?

Thanks!

Napa Gold is the way to go; don't know the part number.

I think thats right the 1060has the check valve which you dont need.

We use the 1061R which is the same as the Wix 51061R just depends on what they have in stock.

Are you getting a price break on the bulk order? I'd like to find some place that did that instead of buying individual.

I was at O'Reilly's last night and mentioned something about a bulk order to one of the employees and he told me to call back today to speak with the manager. Supposedly, they do this quite often, so I will keep you posted on my results. Since I'm racing 3+ hours away from here in Kansas City, I'm going to go ahead and call the Auto Parts stores back home as well to see if I can make a deal.

If you end up getting a deal here in KC let me know, or if you need a larger order to get a break let me know. If the others guys havent already bought filters for our car I might be interested in getting some Wix oil filters

ASK YOUR LOCAL NAPA TO ORDER THE NAPA GOLD PART NUMBERS 1060MP OR 1061MP. THEY ARENT THE RACING FILTERS BUT I REALLY DONT THINK THERE IS MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE. I AM A MANAGER AT A NAPA IN CENTRAL TEXAS AND I TRY TO HELP THE RACERS IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE. THE "MP" PART NUMBERS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE BY THE CASE. YOU MIGHT ASK THE MANAGER TO BILL THESE FILTERS TO YOU UNDER THE LOCAL CITY ACCOUNT. IF THE CITY BUYS MOST OF THEIR FILTERS FROM THEM THEY CAN GIVE YOU A VERY GOOD DISCOUNT. IF ANY OF YOU ARE INTERESTED PLEASE E-MAIL ME AT JEFFSNTX@AOL.COM AND I WILL GIVE YOU A PRICE PLUS SHIPPING.

The NAPA gold filter is good, but the racing filter is better. The black racing filter has a little more filter media in it, and a much stronger can. The can resists bursting and fends off dents and dings better.
