Does anyone know what size the plug that goes in a small block chevy block, in the back behind the cam, is supposed to be? A mixup at the engine shop caused mine to not be installed, and now I'm trying to find what I need to get the thing installed.
Thanks.

Go to a parts house and ask for the cam plug they should know what you need

dont mean to interrupt here but shouldyou tack weld the cam plug so it wont get pushed out the back of the block? i blew up an engine and i dont know if it was caused by that but when i tore the engine down the plug was not where it was supposed to be!!

That's normal...the cam broke and pushed it back, one thing i always do is silicone it on the outside so it doesn't leak.
