Ive asked this question before but with no response, maybe someone can help this time. i was wandering if anyone has tried the new Vortec Bowtie heads. They just came out last season, I got a set and my engine builder was super impressed with them in their stock form. Any opinions?

Wish I could help, but I have'ne HEARD of those heads. I have a set of the vortecs and have seen several sets of the 034 (Bowtie) heads, but haven't seen the hybrid. Are they a GM part? Straight or angle plugs? Do they require the four bolt Vortec manifold and the center bolt valve covers? Whats the P?N?Gimme some stats on these babies!

Well they must be good. They are already banned at a local track in my area, and the **** things just came out last year. I ordered mine in the middle of last year, and they were backordered for a few months, if thats telling you anything. Heres a link on them, http://www.sdpc2000.com/catalog/3129/products/229034/SB-Chevrolet-Bare-Large-Port-Vortec-Bow-Tie-Cylinder-Head.htm

They make a small port and a large port design.
