Building a new 383 for my hobby this year and i'm trying to leave as many parts on the other motor as i can, in case i need it later my question is, i bought a new timing chain cover and it doesn't have a timing pointer. Can you buy these ar do you make your own and hope it points right to zero when your done or what??

Measure your balancer. Different pointers for different size balancers.
