they have gm part #'s but can't find them anywhere anyone ever seen them? Does anyone know what they come on? are they smokey's?

http://www.mortec.com/castnum.htm go here it shows 896 as a 62 up 283 327 60cc head doesnt say alum or cast iron though

the casting # is 3772895

These heads were originally cast for the 1960 Corvette,due to casting problems and water leaks,they stopped production.A few of these got out on the market in new cars.The replacement head for these was the 461x.A collector or someone needing them for a restoration would pay a premium for these.The 461x is worth about 1500.I got this info from a friend that collects Vettes.

definatly (sp) a rare find do not sell these cheap!Iwould be willing to bet they are worth quite a chunk of change. it is even possible GM would purchase them from you, Ihave heard they will do this with rare parts like these.
