Ok I am going to build a 406, have been looking around for a used shortblock but nothing.
Ok, I want to shoot for 13:1- 14:1 comp, what will I haft to do to achieve this with double hump heads? Will i need to mill the pistons or do they have pistons available?
will be running a roller cam on a restricted 2 brl engine, on a 1/4 mile track I dont have the cam specs yet but might give you an idea of cam size.
what cams are best to run on a restricted engine like this?

call Charles at camcraft tell him the specs you are going to use he will dial you in on the cam then go from there.

If its a claimer motor

speed pro h634 is 13.7 to 1. Ive got two motors with them and humps.

kb makes pistons if you want a lighter piston, the motor will run better for another 100 bucks spent. they are about 150 grams lighter, which is a lot.

For a 1/4 mile I would build a 383 myself.
