yes that is a 1.84 valve, are you sure that the exhaust valve is 1.46? I was thinking 1.54? but I've never owned any of those heads. A stock 69-74 windsor head had 1.84/1.54. I think that would be what you are looking for? A 78 and up 302/351w stock type head came with 1.78/1.46.

The GT40P heads come from factory with 1.85 intake and 1.46 exhaust. I couldn't find these sizes anywhere. The 1.84 intake will work. I had to order them from the Ford Dealership. Just make sure you order new valves for a 98 or newer explorer or mountianier with the V8.

You can also go to http://www.stangpro.com/ and click on articles on the left side. Then click on the GT40P head article. At the bottom of the page it has some info on where you can get the vavles from. Hope this helped.

Make plans to come down, I will treat you right, Bring a few of your projects along if you want, just don't wait till raceday. I will be getting busier and busier until then. It will be cool to meet another Dirt Forum guy and fellow Ford guy in person. Also I will be gone to Florida for the 500, 10 to the 23th.
