We run vortec heads with a cast iron intake. I am putting it back together and noticed how gaskets don't fit the ports on the intake or head. Does anyone make a gasket for this that can be port matched?

Thanks

Hope that helps,

GM makes a real nice gasket for it. About $40 from SDPC.

Yeah, that too. :-)

And Corteco has a good one as well. I prefer those because of the nice coating on 'em. Cant' think of the # off the top of my head, tho.

I would stay away from the GM stock gasket that has the orings or whatever and is supposed to be reusable. I was told by our engine builder that they have a tendency to **** the o ring part into the port and then you have a leak. At least on a race motor. Might be fine for the street though. I'd stick with a solid composite material like the FelPro

Thanks!
I had a felpro sent out and it fits nice. Doesn't have much extra material but looks like it will match real close
