am running 355 with 5.7 rods 462 heads canadian 2barrel intake crossover headers. wondering if its possible to run a smaller lift cam (around .490 - .500 lift and 236@.050 duration and possibly run 1.6 rocker on intake side to help with the restriction of the 2bbr int and carb. i m looking for real good pull off corners with power range of 3000- 6800 any info would be appreciated

Your right on track with running a smaller lift camshaft... If i were you i'd call a cam manufacturer and have a cam custom ground for your car, your carb, your track, your ignition....

I agree. I have a 2 bbl on a canadian intake and 487x heads, no headers though. I have a cam from Howard's that is a 235/236 duration and i think about .488 lift, 106 lobe center and I have been happy with it. They told me to do the 1.6 rockers on intake too.

I ran one this year that worked very well in a Bmod/limited mod. midwest motorsports, JR motorsports and PTM all have it. Midwest Motorsports #MWMS5 .508 lift .290 Dur 249@.050 . 3600-7000 rpm.

Out of 16 nights I had 15 nights in top 10. 3 2nd's. Ended up gearing a step too deep. The one night I was out of the top 10 was Webster City Fall Challenge ended up 12th. Never before been at the track let alone seen it.

I'm not sure what size track you are talking about but the midwest motor sport #1 is awesome for a 1/4 mile track 3200 lb car. It is only a 104 lift, check ther website for the rest of the info.
