Anyone use the aluminum side motor mounts instead of steel. If so how well did they hold up? Any good/bad experiences.

Yea, we used them for the first time this year. I took our old steel ones into a local fab shop and had them duplicate them in aluminum. This is in a mod with a motor plate. I can't speak for using them in a street stock type application, but it worked fine for us.

I use them, cant really get more than a year use outta them, they usually start to crack and they will get bent, but that is the reason why I use them, better to throw away the $30 motor mounts then bust a piece outta the block. If they crack, my buddy alum welds them for me. I like them.

Yes they are ok but check them after a good frontal collision and replace them every year because mine have cracked.
