whats going to be the best engine combo? bomber class, 2bl carb, stock intake and exhaust. 17" vacume rule. i've got a fresh 351w long rod with ported dooe castings and 1.94 and 1.6 valves. also have good 351c 2bl motor i could ring and bearing. going into crown vic, min wieght 3400lbs, 235 radials. will the 351c make enough difference in power to offset the extra lbs?

unless you have single groove valves in the cleveland, don't race it. it WILL drop a valve with the 3 groove valves.

I have raced both 351C and 351W. Right now the class I am in has a 9.5 to 1 compression rule. In this class there does not seem to be much differance in the two. When I raced in other class's with no compression rule the 351C was better.

Use the Windsor....in a crown vic chassis you will need a rear sump pan set-up...as you may know, not availible for the Cleveland, you would need to fab one.

you can get a rear sump 351C pan to fit the crown victoria from kevko in minnesota and I don't have the number right now but if you want it I can put it on here.
