I have a stock 400 sbc, 509 block with heads. It's stock bore with hardly any wear at all. The #7 rod spun a bearing, other than that the crank looks pretty good. So my question is, what's it worth? When I bought the car it was in I was told it was a 350. So I gave the guy $50 cause it knocked really bad. I was really suprised to find out what it really was. Now I'm thinking about selling it and would like to know what a good selling price would be. Any help would be greatly aprecated(sp).

One sold here recently just like yours except no spun bearing for $350...that's top price though

Good blocks go for about $100-175 around here - I've seen guys get $200 for the blocks but I've never paid over $100 for a block or complete 400 engine for that matter(hardly anyone wants the stock heads or internals anyhow - the rods are too short, the pistons are dished, etc. - so they're just buying the block really...)
