Anyone ever have troubles with their 300ex?? Has a full tank of new gas and is getting spark. It'll start up and run for a minute or so one time and even if you hold a constant throttle it just dies, yet other times you can get on and take right off like nothings wrong. Anyone have any idears??

OK, we took the gas tank off and completely drained it and cleaned out the filter, took the carbuerator off and cleaned it all out, put in a new plug and new gas,it ran good for a little bit and then did the same thing, popping and trying to die before eventually just dying all together, Could the battery not be getting enough voltage to it?? We charged the battery but we didn't check the voltage.

There should be a mesh screen in the fuel tank/petcock. It works as a pre filter for your fuel. If it is clogged it would make the wheeler sputter and die. After it sits for a little while the sediment settles out and allows fuel to the carb again. Fire it up and the screen will not allow enough fuel to pass for the carb to keep up with the motor.
