I just bought my first mod been running limited late model this car has the shock mounts on the inside of the leaf springs on the rear end can anyone tell me why they would be there instead of on the spring plates?

don't have an answer,but is this a multi leaf,mono ?,not that it would matter,but curious.
my thinking would be that the spring perch would be the same effect as the rear end since they are bolted solidly to the rearend with the u bolts.
are the shocks in front of the housing or in the back?,ours are mounted in the front off of the spring perch.
i know that i rambled a lot but you;ve peeked my intrest,what brand of chassis is it?

It won't make a difference. The main thing is mounting it so you get full trvel of the shock. There are some limitation on how much angle you should put in the shock before it's dampening is effected. Maybe Jammin knows how many degrees it can be angles before you are hurting the shock???
