I run a GRT z-link/swing arm car know
800 lf 76
900 rf 76-3
300 lr 94
275 rr 93
clamp lr swing arm
z-link rr swing arm

What change will I have to do to run a 3-link? Should the springs be mounted on top, front or behind the axles? Should I run both long bars or lr short and rr long. What type of pullbar should I run. I ran a 800lb AFCO spring longed bar know. I run on slick tracks and the cars here all mainly on 3 links with D&M pullbars and they are very fast. Reason why switching because I have alot of sidebite but nothing coming out or down the straigths. I run on IMCA tires and I grind them before very heat and feature and I will glace them over in the heats and the features. Any help would be greatly apprectaed.

Try a stiffer pull bar spring,1050lb.You might want to try raising the swingarm up higher on the chassis.keep the swingarm z-link

BTW, your springs seem really stiff for a smooth surface like Malden's. Metric chassis?

yes, I was thinking about droping the left rear to a 225 spring on the swing arm and leaving it locked down and moving the right rear spring on top of the axle and droping to a 175 and put the shock where the spring use to be on the swing arm. Any thoughts on if this would work are not.

I can tell you how mine is set-up and it was fast at Malden before. 3-link, springs on top(200 left, 175 right/93-93 shocks), long Afco pullbar w/600 lb. spring, mounted at 22* down. Can't recall J-bar position. I'm gonna try left forward and right behind next season. I run 650-700 front springs. My chassis is a 68-72 chevelle. Do you have the "wide" metric set-up?
