at what point do you know if your chassis is used up..we are still running a dw7 for the past six seasons very competitively..its been on the rack a couple of times but everything is still as straight as can be expected..weve also had cracks that weve welded..would like to get new but $$ may dictate what we can do, like i said we are still very good and against good and newer dirt works...what u guys think? thanx!

If your chassis starts flexing you can stiffen the right frt spring to compensate for it and the car will still work good ,If your running a 750 rt.front and the car is not working as good as it used to try a 850 rt.front spring and see if it doesnt improve a bunch!!mainly watch your shock travel, anything over 2" rt.front shock travel and you need a stiffer rt. front!

2" of shock travel? Do you have much sidebite 65 or are you running a super tacky track? dirtracr, I've been pondering the same question for a couple of years but I swear my 8 year old car gets faster every year. I've had a new chassis on hold for 2 years now but it's hard to replace something that is working so good for me.

throw a few more bars on the rollcage to stiffen it up. cracks at the joints is a sign of too much flex.
