Is it safe to take a multi leaf spring apart and remove the bottom leaf to reduce spring weight?Thanks!!

yeah, i've removed leafs before with good results. it will soften the spring.

THANKS FOR THE ok! I removed the very bottom short leaf from my afco 155# RR spring in hopes to get more roll without adding more weight. Thanks again!!!!

tring to get more bite on a leaf car??? try cutting the leafs on the left side spring, cut the back of the leafs off......so it looks like a stack spring in the front and a mono srping in the rear.........this will alow the spring to wrap and the leafs in the front half act like a lift bar trying to pick up the car from the left rear tire...
give it a try, I used this years ago and remember other people talking about it last year on this forum.
