do any of you guys have any ideas on how to get the glaze off the rear rotors,we put on a new set of hawk pads.did the brake in,but the rotors glazed anyway,needless to say they don,t stop worth a darn.the old set worked wonderful for two years!,and kept the rotors clean.thanks for your help.

Are the old pads the same compound as the new ones? what i have done to get-rid of the glaze on my rotors was took 80 grit sandpaper on a DA sander and sanded the glaze off the rotors but be carefull not to get to crazzy with it, just take the glaze off.

yes the new ones are the same.the old ones always kept the rotors looking like they had a fresh turn look to them, and good stopping power.afco hawk(black},another guy mentioned 80 grit and a da also,sounds like i better give it a try. thank you for your help.

You can buy a de-glazing tool at your local parts store it is in expensive and fits on you cordless drill.
