Is there and advantage by putting a short swing arm on lr and a long swing arm on rr? what affects does it have?

Left rear would move farther forward in corner producing more rear steer.

I have run swing arms on both my modifieds. One car had long swing arms, and my new car has short swingarms like a Rayburn late model. What I have found on swing arm cars is the rear trailing arms have alot to do with how the car handles in the turns. By that I mean length and angle.

I have never tryed it but i think it would be great on a tight cornered race track, something like a stop and go type of track. I think it would help turn the car and give it good forward bite off the corner because of the left rear bar angle..Also i think you would have to change your lr spring because the rate won't be the same because the swing arn is shorter.

I was thinking about the same thing but with a regular 2 link, short link on LR and a long link on RR. My car this year was throttle tight bad and i just ordered a new DW8 for next year and was thinking about trying this setup if the new car is throttle tight.

i've used it this year on a 2 link. works great on slick. really hooks lr. will make throttle push worse. 3 inches shorter on left.

What are you looking for in this set up 311?
I`v played with rear steer in all kinds of dirt cars and if that's what your looking for then don't use more than 1/2" or it will be a ***** to hold on the straights!
