What advantage is there to running a short I bar to left side of the pinion VS a j bar to right side of pinion? Since the bracket is bolted to the pinion, don't both bars affect the rear the same? THX

the shorter the bar the faster it will react. The bar connecting to the LH side of pinion is anywhere around 10"-15" shorter than the average 23" J bar. Having the shorter bar on makes the car lift/hike faster on the LR than the J bar does. With the effect that it does this faster the forward bite is there that much quicker because it is planting the LR. The J bar will hike the LR up but it will take it a little bit longer to do so. Most people dont like the shorter bar because of it reacting so fast and if the track is rough its going to be even more radical.
