I was wondering which way to go with my gear. I'm running a 5:14 now. Which way do I need to go for more forward bite, a 529 or a 486? I'm spinning bad off the corner.

Normally you would take gear out of the car to stop spinning coming out of corners. But not knowing what kind of suspension your running and your set-up (spring rates and weight percentages)it could be something else.We were having the same problem last week and replaced our 5:14 with a 5:29 took 60 lbs. off the rear of the car.Turned out we were'nt getting in the corners hard enough thus he was slower coming out and gasing to hard to try to make up ground. This week we got in a lot harder and deeper carrying more speed through the corners and not spinning as bad coming out.?????????

we had same problem, we were running a 5.67 at a large 3/8 with high banks and it was like we wasnt gettin any forward bite at all comin out of corner, so we went to a 5.83 and the car came to life out of the corner, what was happening was the car wasnt unlaoding until half way down the straight away. so now we always over gear alittle where ever we go. we also noticed the car tends to push comin outta corner unless we runa turn higher rpm.

Ditto.... I had the same thing i didnt have enough gear and I would have to get in it hard to keep up coming off making the tires spin. Went up a gear and didnt have to get in the gas as much to go as fast.

I use to run a 5.43 on a 3/8 and always smoked the tires coming off the corners. My new ride has a 5.67 do you think that might help my led foot? I know it`s mostly my foot and not the car, I like to go in deep and come out hot! I always say "let her slide to the wall on the way out!"
