Our car seems to be working OK this season, BUT the car looks totally different this season on the track. The left rear used to suck up towards the front of the car and the rear body would hike up as soon as you gave it throttle. Now, the car looks really flat w/ little to no movement in the rear tires. Although the car is handling pretty good, we are not getting near the movement that we used to have. If a car at our track passes us, you can really see movement in their car. Their rear body immediately hikes up when they get on the gas (really looks like they are putting a ton of weight on their rear tires to get all the traction they could want) and the LR creeps up towards the front of the car.

Major changes made to our 2-link Dirtworks car:
USED to run short LR trailing arm, long RR.
NOW run two short trailing arms and moved LR up one hole to top hole…(this is where I think most of the problem is)

USED to lead LR by 2” and 250+ lbs of LR bite…(Car worked great but absolutely could not run low! Needed to go w/ something more controllable)
NOW squared up rear end and run 80 or so lbs of LR bite…(what I would call a normal set-up)

This is about it for major changes. We have tried the shorty bar, j-bar, and long bar behind rear end with about the same results.

Have you double checked everything to make sure nothing is binding up?

We took the shocks off the rear and bounced the car up and down...can not see/hear any binding in the suspension. Just not sure how it could have changed that much.

Tony Anderson, a sponsored dirtworks driver here runs the short bar on the left and the long bar on the right, a short spring loaded panhard bar in front of the rearend, and like a 4-off rr wheel, and his car stands up so high, they had to bend the body out on the rocker panel on the left side cause the LR wheel comes so far forward. We run a DW also, but dont have the short bars, we run the long bars and the Left bar second hole from the top and the right bar third hole from the top and a J-bar, and have no problems running with those guys, but thats us, and everyone is different.

Yes, I guess you could call that some movement . The track we run at is so very competitive. It is not that we can't run w/ the guys there. I am just looking for anything that will make us just a little bit (well actually a lot) faster then the others...but isn't that what everybody is looking for . A short spring loaded panhard bar...very interesting. I have never seen that one yet. I think we will go back to LR short, RR long this weekend and see if that helps us.
