Broke a RR birdcage on my 3 link this weekend and had a floated bird cage left over from the 4 bar set-up. Right now I have a 4-bar on the RR and a clamped 2 link on the LR. Our track is strange in that 1 and 2 are dry slick and 3 and 4 hold some moisture. I guess I am wondering if anyone has ran this type of set up and if so, is it super tight or can you take bite out enough to get the car to turn? Any help would be appreciated.

DW-8, pull bar w/ med bisquit, Hoosier A and D's, 3/8 mile, med bank.

Usually I run about 52 to 54% cross but figure I will take it down to 47 or 48 to start.

Thanks.

Jammin, any help here? Performance...??? I am a bit worried and hate to start over in the middle of the season with everyone else in mid season form. I expect to be tight but will I be so tight I will be watching the races from turn one grandstands?

I don't think you will have a problem with being tight...most of your bite is still going to come from the left rear which is a standard 3 link.....I dont think there would be a problem. I would not clamp the 4 bar on the right rear.

Update...This thing lifted so hard on the LR it extended my shock shaft out of the shock body. It had sooooo much bite. Our track was heavy all night so for some of you guys in the the "dry slick" areas, you might try it. On heavy, no need for a LF wheel. I don't know that it ever touched except when I jammed the brakes to turn the car...3 or 4 times in each turn.
