I just got a new set of gears from speedway and there was nothing that said i needed to break them in. I have allways used Richmand gears and broke them in befor running em but was looking for some insight from people that have run the speedway gears.

I bought a complete third member from speedway and it came with instructions on how to break them in. The instuctions were the same as other brands.

How do you usually break in gears? To tell you the truth, I've never heard of breaking in a rear-end gear.

With my other gears i have allways put the car on jack stands and run the car in gear for 15 min loading the brakes and a rev here and there also running in reverse. Then i let em sit for a half hour or hour then take em for a drive nice and easy with a few shots to the gas here and there. Then we allways pack are track so they get warmed up again then cool back down for hot laps. This is the way i have allways done my gears and never had a prob with em, I also broke the speedway gears in the same.
