What kind of fuel pressure should you have with alcohol carb and mechanical by-pass. C&S carb (new) First week was fine now seems to just run out of fuel after second corner. have changed pump and filter. Thanks Bob

I like to have 9-12# of pressure. With a mechanical bypass you can disconnect the linkage from the carb to the bypass and close the bypass manually at idle. It should read somewhere around 9# and increase if you increase the rpm.
Also make sure the bypass isn't traveling to far at wide open throttle it will open the bypass again. Hope this helps.

What kind of fuel pump are you using. We use a belt drive pump and run only 7# fuel pressure at wide open. The belt drive will bypass more fuel than what the carb uses. Mech pump not sure but I also think it depends on your carb.
