I nomally run a 1/4 mile track with a simple 355 and at 750 alcohol carb. I am having a problem with the motor breaking up just before I lift. I have noticed when I run at longer tracks the breaking up starts earlier (in reference to when I lift). I was checking my carb and noticed when I rev. it up alcohol comes up the rear vent tube. The bowl level is just below the site hole. Not sure if my problem is with carb but I do no fuel should not be coming up the vent tube. Only other thing I was thinking is the came is small and maybe I'm floating the valves because my RPM range is right at the high end spec. Any thougts would be helpful.

We had the same problem with a two-barrel Holley. We just lengthened the vent tube with large-diameter brake line. Otherwise your engine chokes to death.

the needle may be sticking in the back bowl. you might possibly try tapping on the adjustment s crew with the handle of a s crew driver or something. just my 2 cents.
