If i set my car at 7 degrees pinion angle what do i measure off of to get the 7 degress?
Do I measure from the u joint or what ?

best place to measure is put the angle finder on the front flats of the yoke with the driveshaft out of it. or if you dont want to remove the driveshaft you can put the finder on face of panhard mount or the flats of the housing

Make sure you also check the angle of the car before you do the pinion. Our motor sets parallel to the frame rails of the front stub so I check the angle of the frame rails before I do the pinion. If the frame rails are at 0 then read straight of the pinion but if the frame rails are not 0 then you will have to compensate. I shoot for 7-8 degrees down angle between the pinion and frame angles.

Yeah, make sure car is setting at ride height and is level like it would be if it was on all 4 wheels.
