Has anybody here ever used a canter lever rear on a mod ,because i have and i would like to know if it has any advantages.
And what kind of advice would one have for setting it up.
It has a 110 lr and a 100 rr spring with a torque arm ,long panhard to right axle, full floating brake's.

I had one 10 yrs ago, got it from Rayburn.
as I recall, we had to use stiff springs on the rear because of the mechanical leverage, if you wanted a 200 lb spring rate then you would run a 800 lb. spring. this car had a lift bar, we strugled with forward bite all the time. only one guy had good luck with this type of rear, don't remember his name but he ran at Haubstaght (sp?) in southern Ind. and was a good late model driver. Rayburn quit making them so it must not be the way to go. hope this helps some.
good luck

Thanks for the info ,The setup for the rear was that it was 1 to 1 spring rates that is why the springs are so soft.
The car has wicked forward bite ,but the problem lies in getting the car to turn to be able to to use it, we run a flat top 350 10 to 1 comp and the 406 guys were spinning all the way down the straight.
