what ball joints do you use on a stock metric lower "a" arm? I have heard some guys are using larger ones than the original. what do you use?

I just went through this. I bought a car but the last owner kept the lower a-arms. The spindles had been reamed for the chrysler ***** -in ball joints.
I bought the sleeves and ball joints from Speedway, and cut the lowers to accept the sleeves. Then, I welded in the sleeves and ******* in the ball joints. It's a relatively simple process. Just make sure that when you are cutting the lowers to not cut too much out so you have something to weld to. Hope this helps, and ....................See ya at the track!!

x13jc, the ones I described don't raise the roll center. They are just larger than the stock ones. However, you can get some with a longer stud that do raise the roll center. It depends on what you want. Either way, hope this helps and ..................See ya at the track!!
