How about using Marvel Mystery Oil as an Alcohol upper end lube? Will it work? Any insight or feedback would be appreciated.

I have used the Marvel Mystery oil before and it dont seem to work as good as the redline or royal purple fuel lube, doesnt mix very well.

ive been trying to use it but it seems to want to settle to the bottom. if you throw some marvel and alcohol in a jug and shake it,then look down into the jug closely. it doesn't seem to mix, it only imulsifies like vinegar and oil. does reg top lube do this????

If you're looking for a good top end lube, compatible with alcohol, then talk to the go kart guys. As an ex karter, as a minimum I would recommend Klotz 2-cycle oil. It's made for the open karts burning alky. I wouldn't use it for a base oil, but as a top end lube, it's adequate. If possible, use a caster based 2-cycle oil. I still have a bottle remaining of "Mr. X". It's awesome! Ran it in karts, weedeaters, chainsaws, my truck, etc. Even when mixed with gas, it gives off a scent like you're burning alcohol. Castor is cleaner burning and offers more protection than petroleum. Just my couple pennies......

There's a product put out by VP race fuels called M2. I get it from JR Motorsports fo about $7 / quart. I mix 1 ounce per 5 gallons and it seems to work and mix fine. It seems to stay mixed pretty well also. I get just a light fillm on the inside of my intakes after running this way, so I know its got to be working. I think the directions say to put the whole quart into 50 gallons, but that seems like a lot to me.

Castor, or "bean oil" as it used to be called was considerd the premium oil at one time (crankcase oil). Thats why Castrol came up with their name. To play off of the caster oil reputation.

Hey 7X. I think they are located out of North Carolina. I originally ordered it out of kart catalog I used to get. I'll check the last bottle tonight and post tomorrow hopefully where you can get it from. It's some d@#$%%^mn good oil!! Never had a 2-cycle gum up over the winter from sitting, etc. Burns super clean and give a b$%^%^ttload of protection. No, I'm not a promotor (ha-ha-ha-ha), but I will push something when I know it works. Post you tomorrow.
