i have a 97 shaw with a lift arm instead of a pull rod i don't have much forward bite coming off the corners. the springs in the car are 650 750 in the front 175 left rear and 150 right rear with a 225 on the lift bar. the car also doesn't have much anti squat. i see a lot of these cars with lift arms that are picking up the left front with all kinds of anti squat and forward bite. please help!

i used to run the fifth coil too and didn't like it much everyone told me to run the spring and shock close together about 32 to 34 inches from the rear axle center. nowthen since switching to 3 link i read a post on here awhile back that sayed the trick to good bite with one of those is to run the coil back more like 24 inches with the shock still out at the front and a soft rubber snubber on the shock. so on initial accel the arm is resisted by the shock(long), as the arm comes up the spring is taking over making the arm seem shorter. then when the track is tacky everything is biting well and the rubber on the shock makes the arm act longer again. makes sense to me now i just wished i had tryed this before changing over. gl jl

i am not running any shock on the arm its self. instead i'm running it on top of the rearend (90/10) like you would have it with a pull bar. should i move it to the arm?

well just moving the shock won't make the diff you need. but that's how harris and many others recommend it.

Try a stiffer spring on the lift bar ihad a similar problem running a light spring like yours on it.
