i am confused with all this talk on alcohol jets, i wanted to find out some things, WHY is it that some carbs run samll jets like 90's or less on alcohol and some run in the high 100's, i've been told its because of a hole in the metering block, but i am not sure just wanted to find out for sure cause i am having trouble,

thanks in advance

indeed that is correct and the reasoning is because some carb builders drill another hole in the main channel to add extra fuel without having to go to the huge jets. mine is a pro series holley and i have like 168 in it they are very impressive to look at and so is the price. lol

i kow what you mean, i order a alcohol jet assortmant pack from summit and it was expensive, i sent it back because when i got it it went from 132+ and i was extremely confused because the jets in my BG carb are 90's, so i though they were for a dominator carb for drag racing or something, but i would like to know why some carbs have to use big jets and some don't and why are they different,

you are correct if your carb has a hole drilled in each chanel(sic)it uses standard
size range jets,if not you need the big ones
