Depending on the spring, but I've found that more than two times the leaf gives out "during" the race. That is not what you want.

Take a peice of metal in your hand and bend it back and forth for awhile, after awhile it will break in two. Now, think of how many times your leaf is bent back and forth in only one race?

My car won 22 features in one season on mono's, and I change them every 2 to 3 nights. I have re-arched the leaf in the press at our shop, but that was only in a pinch and I don't advise it. If at all possible, buy new and arch the LR spring 2" higher than the RR spring. Always arch the spring in the section in front of the rearend housing.
