Im curious, so far i've been running 750 LF, 850 RF springs on my car, car worked pretty good other than a throttle push when track is heavy/tacky, my chassis builder says to run 650 LF, 750 RF on it, if i change the front springs and keep everything else the same will it loosen the car up or tighten it?

Should allow more weight to go forward going in, and less to go aft comming out. This should make it loose.

Will loosen car in general, most noticable on entry and mid corner

I guess I'll start the debate , The same weight will transfer to the front end even if it had no springs in the front all it will do is make the suspension travel more. The soft spring package will travel more thus give the feeling of it being loose.

I'm not so sure about that. Heavier springs might limit the amount of weight transfering because it would begin to rebound before the weight transfer was complete. So, I'm not sure if it's the amount of weight transfered or the length of time it takes it to transfer that weight.

i dont know about softer, i switched to 1000-900 on the front and have had great sucess because it has allowed me to free up the back of the car, really i dont know how to explain it but the car feels more driveable and still hooks up well was leading in points until car was totaled.

Noody can really help just by knowing what front springs are in the car, but never rule out swapping the springs side to side. I sometimes do this, in fact that is how my car is right now.

Lightening, on slower slicker tracks when I can't get the car to turn in or pushes real bad in the apex I run the softer spring on the right front.

The first issue with the front springs is are the front corners frequently bottomed out. I try to run the softest that I can without bottoming.
