in checking our pinon angle,we have found that we on the short side of 4*,we were told that we should have around 7*.what are we giving up by not having this where it should be,will there be a noticeable difference in 3 more degrees.this is a leaf spring car with a lift arm,if that matters.
it will be a job to change,but will gladly do it if needed. thank you for your help.

The only thing you are giving up is possibly some u-joint life.
Pinion angle shims for leafsprings are cheap, easy to install and available in different thicknesses.
I like 5 to 7 degrees down. You are fairly close now, but if you were to add a couple of 2 degree shims (1 per side).... you would be perfect.

thanks guys,i got two shims today,hadn't thought of this for a cure,a lot easier than cutting everything loose! thanks again
