when setting up the pinion is the stock crush sleave ok or should you use a solid sleave,if so whats happening to the crush sleave

the solid spacers are easier to work with than the crush sleeve..as the bearings wear you'll loose preload so there isn't much of a advantage except for not needing a 10ft long bar(or shop press) to crush the sleeve.

does the the crush sleave give up what about using solid with shims

I had a crush sleeve on my 9" last year and it was a pain. It keep crushing and loosening up the yoke. We went with a solid shim at the end of the year and it seems to work well. I ran the car last nite and still no leaks or loosening up. good luck. ltr spde
