after taking all of the great advice I have recieved from everyone on here, we have found out a LOT about our car. we do not have our own set of scales but went to weight the car this morning. we are running a 2-link car with a short trailing arm on the left and a long arm on the right. j-bar in the 2nd hole from the bottom on the pinion, pull bar 17 degrees. when we first put the car on the scales (with the rear end square now) our weights were:
lf - 481 rf - 537
lr - 785 rr - 560
pretty crazy huh!!! turns out, since we had the lr leading the rr by 2", that was the only thing keeping us from pushing right into the wall. after changing the springs a good deal (ride hieght is now 5 1/4" all the way around) we now have:
lf - 542 rf - 474
lr - 705 rr - 622
cross: 50% left: 53% rear: 57%
this is with 3/4 tank of fuel though.
How does these number look to everybody? We now have the rear end square. This was with 3/4" of stagger in the rear.
Our car has always been very loose coming off and have never been able to run LOW on the track because of all that lr weight.
I think our cross percentage seems to be a touch on the low side, but what does everybody else think.

doesnt look to bad to me, give it a go from there. you certainly made changes in the right direction far as i'm concerned are you running amer. racers or hoosiers?, if you are running amer. racers you will need more rear % on a dry slick app. hope this helps, ford5

I would think this would be a very neutral car to start a baseline with! Good Luck!
