Well I have a full set of American Racers that are no use to me this year. Where do I start with setup changes to the Hoosier H40's?

H-40 or A-40?
Try what you normally run, % wise just account for different roll centers and ride heights.

We went from the imca tires to the NCRA type Hoosier tires once last year, and found out that we could not run the same rear weight %. We didnt find this out until we got out for hotlaps, so all we could do that night was just grin and bear it. The car was a rocket down the strech, but would not turn for the life of me, it didnt matter how i entered the turn, where-ever the back tires were pointed, thats where the whole car was going. So iam not saying that YOU cant run the same %'s, iam just saying that WE couldnt. Just something you might have wanted to be aware of.

I have ran Hoosiers for 11 years now, try to get smaller ones and see if your new rules say anything about the "Dirt Boss" its a soft tire and all of us in montana liked to use it till they said no more on the right rear. We could wear one out in a race on a good track (not dry slick) It got kinda expensive though, LOL. Your percentages will end up being something you fine tune in practice cause all cars are different, but plan on your car sticking better.
