What are the best muffler that will ruduce sound. they are coming down on the noise this year and im looking for a muffler that will keep it quiet with losing alot. I will be running some pipe on it also and not sure if i should neck down to the 3" pipe or leave it all 3 1/2" Thank, Craig

they are a little spendy but I used the Dynatech "Vortex" cones last year...checked for Db's at a couple of tracks and was ok..I used a 16" extension off of the header collecter which helped a pair of them only weighs 1/2 pound

Vortex mufflers are pretty quiet, nice and light though. A Supertrapp or an auger style muffler are probably quieter.

Lobac mufflers work real good. They are what is required at a lot of California tracks that must be below 95dba. These tracks will also tell you that borla and flowmaster will not meet the requirements. I am still trying to get my car put together for this year (Grays Harbor Raceway) I will be the ROOKIE running #91.

Glad to hear that we are getting more cars at elma!! I have a few parts for sale Email if you need anything. I am gonna start with the vortex cone and some pipe and see were we are at. Thank, Craig
