had a guy who used to crew on a decent late model team say they on occasion would run more right side weight than left to help stick the car in the corner and then run more wedge to get if off..anyone heard of this and what do you think?

If you ran a gold track and wide tires this would be OK.

Yeah, I've had to run that on a late model before, we never have been a top rate team, it was a twisted chasis and the only way we could get it through the turns was to run more RR. the cross at the time was mediocre. This is something you do if you're desprate and don't have the money to buy a new, striaght chasis.

At one of the local tracks some of the top guys I have talked with run with more right rear weight they say it helps with bite coming off of the corner. I will just be stepping into a modified this year so I am also curious on this topic. By the way the track is a 3/8 high bank clay that is usually wet to tacky.
