Simple question, when installing 5/8 course or fine studs in my axles, what size do I re-drill the holes so the studs will fit snug?

43/64" is what I used, and do not try to free hand it. I did it in a mill, and used a indexing head. Came out fine, tryed to free hand one, hole was to big for spinle on stud.

Yep Mitch I did the same thing and the studs worked loose, had to tack weld them one the backside. It's hard to change a flat when the studs are falling out.

I use a 21/32 and do it free-hand... I've only had one stud get loose on me. They drive in a little harder, though.

Greggie is right they would be a little harder to drive in,the 43/64"is .6719 and the 21/32"is .6562 .But axles are not free. And I would not want to tack weld them in. GO to the sponsor page and click on DAY MOTOR Sports. And go to Tire and wheel accessories, that is where is I got my studs and drill bit.
