I have heard of some guys talking about this setup just wondering if anyone could explain to me what one is. Just wondering. Thanks

using the single leaf for lateral location of rearend instead of panhard bar on both sides with the swing arm suspension on both sides with birdcages. combo of mono leaf and swing arm is what it is. also a torque link or fifth arm for traction device. john moore formally of harris auto racing tryed it one year. car was fast but you have a bunch of maintenence issues with 2 rear susensions under the car. some other variances of this is one full leaf on the rr with the swing arm on lr.

This is one of the suspensions that D&M used to offer also. The one I had used a solid pull bar with the above described. It was always fast reguardless of track condition and was awesome on black slick. The draw back was the mono would fatigue very quickly, do good to get 6 nights on them, first you would start losing forward bite and if you didn't change them soon they would snap in two. If you ever wheel hopped anyone you tore all kinds of stuff up. You could kill them in one night on a tacky rough race track. I think that this is a real good set-up for special shows but requires an intense maintnance program to be fast consistantly. I wouldn't reccomend it as a weekly racer deal unless you had a lot of good quality help and the budget to put new mono's on every 2 or 3 weeks.
