Hi, I am new to this forum and just need to see about some info. I am a pitman for a Modified team in Montana and we are getting a new car for the 2002 year. I am wondering if there is any software I can download or get from someone to keep track of setups and so forth, that is in Excel format? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there, I have actually seen you on the 20/20 page. Do you drive? Haven't heard too much for the Billings track so far. Sounds like a lot of cars being built, though. Hopefully it will be a good year around here! Talk to you later!

What kind of stuff do you want to keep track of? My wife is a programmer and she made up a program that keeps track of pay and points for the year. All you do is enter your heat race and feature starting and finishing positions each night when you get home and it totals up points and pay for the night and season. It will give you your point and pay average for the season and also your starting and finishing average. This is good because it shows you if you are going backwards even if you donít want to see it or believe it. Most friends and family will tell you that you did ok for the night so that they donít hurt your feelings or discourage you. This program puts it out there in black and white so you can really see how you are doing. It also gives you the percentage of nights that you make the top 5 and top 10. It gives you average pay per night and many other things.
She also has a program in the works that will tell you what set up to run for certain track conditions. This one works off of your notes. Each night you enter your starting and finishing order and track condition and springs, shocks, tire pressure, tire stagger, gear ratio, etc. The program will then tell you what set-up worked best under the track conditions that you have that night. You would need a laptop or access to your computer for this program if you would want to use it to keep up with track conditions as the night goes on.
If you have any suggestions or want something that I do not have on here let us know and we will try to make you a custom program for what you want.

not much for the points and pay program. the good thing about the program is all you have to do is input starting and finishing order in heats and all features then it does the rest. the setup program is still being developed. if interested let us know. we would need your point break down and pay sheet break down. send me a private message if you are interested.

We already have one available for your laptop. It will save your setups in files and allow you to access them at any given time...laptop or computer. It has several tools on it for calculating your setups and makes it much quicker to access information at the track. All built in VB, so it is in windows format. Very easy to use, has a tutorial and everything... Let me know, I still have copies available. 55.00

keeps up with all the basics.....plus has a box for extra input....save it just as you would with a file and recall it at any time...pretty simple really. Dont have a evaluation online at the moment for you...
