Our tracks have gone to Hoosier H40. I was curious what you think of these tires.

I think it's a good choice. It will work better than an American Racer but hard enough to last.

The h-40's are hard as hockey pucks but if you get them hot they work pretty well. Last time i checked with hoosier they recommended 180-200 degrees. I will usually put a tire warmer on them before a race. Using a good tire softener on them also helps alot.

What about gearing compared to the G60's? Are these tires durable?

I am glad that yall like the hoosiers better, I must say that they bite better. However the sidewall on the Hoosiers are terrible espcially on the D-40, they can be a pain to take on and off at the track.
