Does anyone here race a leaf spring modified?
What can a person do to the rear of the car to make it better. Like moving the front leaf spring hangers inward?

We race a RaceMart FR-1 Leaf Chassis, their web site is: www.randys-racemart.com within the last 2 years this type of chassis has grown fast. Around this area, they have been the chassis to beat at alot of local tracks. there is alot of several things that can be done with a leaf chassis, just depends on what you want, multi-leaf, mono leaf, combo multi / mono, As far as moving front leaf eyelet brackets inward is a good idea, if car is not set up that way You can get the info you need from the AFCO web site on leaf springs. www.afcoracing.com
Good luck!!!

I ran a 104" leafspring superstock. best handling car I ever drove. There's a big diference between the way Camaro and the Chrysler leafs react. Are you running sliders or shackles in the rear? On mine I moved the rears out about an inch,I figured if I moved the front in it was bringing the spring away from the tires and I didn't want that. I have alot of time put into that car, built it from the ground up and ran it for 5yrs so if you have any problems I probably already been there. Let me know if there's anything I can help you with.

My nephew works on a modified team in Indiana. They just got a BUZZARD modified. It's a multi leaf car. They said that chassis style has been winning alot in central Indiana for the last few years. Some of their tracks are pretty rough and the leafs handle them rather well

We ran a multi-leaf car this year...Big mistake!!! I know that at some places in the country they are fast, but not where we ran!!! The car wouldn't hook up no matter what we did to it. It was our worst season ever...depressing at times to say the least.

I ran multi-leafs. I won 2 track championships & 8 races. If you move the springs in it will soften the car (it will let the car roll over}and give more side bite
