What do you think of a Four cylinder stroker motor in a modified, light, light, light. Tacky track- well I dunno. But dryslick on a hot summer day, nobody thought a 6 cylinder could beat a V-8.

I dont know about that, we put together a fairly stock 4.3 in a mini for my brother and he completly ran away from all of the built up 4cyl fords. and to boot the kid was 14 running with guys that where over twice his age.

I think that the right 4cyl would do pretty good. You can lose a lot of weight and gain rear percent. Cubic inches isn't always faster. I would like to see how this would work.

At our tracks we used to have 4 cyl. mods for about 8 yrs they then faded to what is currently called bmods -v8s during the transition yr some tryed to run 4cyls {2.3 fords) against them with very little sucess now there is no more 4 cyl chassis similar to IMCA mods

You might get away with it on a small quarter miler, but we had two guys try to run them against us on big 5/8 mi. fairground tracks and they got their doors blown off.
