Would missing the rubber on the lower A frame cause caster gain? I sure hope it does. What would increasing preload on the pullbar gain? I've never fully understood, the latent functions of that device.

Missing the bushing in the lower a-arm could definately cause inconsistancies in geometry. Increasing pre-load on the torque-link essentially increases the spring-rate as seen by the chassis. Typically you want to decrease the pre-load as grip in the track is reduced.

Thank you for your reply. I know the driver has been listening to somebody that has everything backwards, and as the crew chief, I kind want him listening to me, not somebody that is trying to mess him up. I didn't understand why you would increase pre-load, now I know where he got that idea at, and had a question answered that had been bugging me.
