posted September 27, 2001 08:39 PM I recently bought a used modified that is currently setup with a 2 link rear suspension. Right spring is behind the axle, shock in front, vice versa for the left. It has a long panhard bar, and a long spring loaded torque link mounted down near the DS loop. The former owner also gave me everything to change the car to a 2 link swingarm rear as well. He got a new car with 4 link rear. Now i have seen teh car win several features with the two link. That was with the former driver, I have not driven it competitively yet and was wondering about the pros and cons of the swingarm rear. He just never got around to trying it out when he owned it. How does it change the handling characteristics vs the normal two link. I will be racing mostly on 1/4 or 38mi tracks with medium bank. If there is a significant advantage to the swingarm, then I might consider switching for next season. Also what is the advantage in running one spring behind and one spring in front of the rear?
